Questions and answers
- When does Norse Kayaks run sales?
- Norse Kayaks sells through dealers rather than its own store, so discounts come from shops clearing old stock or end-of-season inventory. The current Idun fiberglass deal at Alder Creek Kayak & Canoe is 48% off at $1,599.00.
- Where is the cheapest place to buy a Norse Kayaks Idun?
- Dealer pricing varies, so compare the same layup and size across shops. Right now the lowest listed price is $1,599.00 at Alder Creek Kayak & Canoe for the fiberglass Idun.
- What is Norse Kayaks best known for?
- The Idun touring kayak, a composite sea kayak built for loaded trips and rough water. It comes in fiberglass and lighter carbon versions, with rocker and volume tuned for stability under load.
- What is the difference between the fiberglass and carbon Idun?
- Carbon is lighter and stiffer, which helps on portages and acceleration but costs more. Fiberglass weighs more and absorbs impacts a bit better, and it is the version on deal here at $1,599.00.
- What is the return policy on a Norse Kayaks kayak?
- Returns are handled by the dealer you buy from, not by Norse Kayaks, so check that shop's policy before ordering. Kayaks are large freight items, and many shops limit returns on used or clearance boats.
