Are these two listings the same helmet?

Yes. Both are the LS2 Advant X Carbon, model FF901, with a carbon shell, 180-degree flip-up chin bar, Pinlock insert, sun shield and DOT plus ECE 22.06 certification. The difference is the listing and the price, not the helmet.

Which is better for touring?

Either one. Both flip up 180 degrees, include a Pinlock insert and a built-in sun shield, and weigh about 1470 g. Pick the cheaper listing, $338.02 at Champion Helmets as of November 4, 2026.

Is the Amazon listing worth the extra $312?

Not for the helmet itself, since the features are the same. Pay the premium only if Amazon's delivery and returns are worth that much to you.

Does the cheaper listing include the Pinlock and dark visor?

Yes. The Champion Helmets listing includes a Pinlock MaxVision insert, a dark smoke visor and a helmet bag.

Neither. Both meet DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.06. The Advant X Carbon is also ECE certified as both open and full face (P and J).

The same. Both are the same carbon shell helmet, so replace the helmet on the same schedule: after any impact, or about every five years.
