Questions and answers

Which is better for fixing things around the house?

The DEWALT. It is a 108-piece ratcheting hand tool set with sockets and a bit driver. The Wagner sprays paint and has no hand tools.

Which is better for painting a room?

The Wagner. Its airless pump runs at 1600 PSI and 0.24 gpm and covers an 8' x 10' wall in about 2 minutes. The DEWALT cannot spray paint.

Is the Wagner worth twice the price?

Only if you are painting. At $209.00 as of October 31, 2026 it buys a powered sprayer; the DEWALT at $99.99 at Home Depot as of November 3, 2026 buys hand tools. They do different jobs.

Which lasts longer?

Hard to compare. The DEWALT's chrome tools resist corrosion and have few moving parts beyond the ratchet. The Wagner's pump and motor wear with use and need cleaning after each job.

Do I need both?

If you are prepping and painting a house, yes. The Wagner sprays the walls; the DEWALT handles outlet covers, trim and fixture work.

Which is easier to store?

The DEWALT packs into its own removable accessory case. The Wagner is 13.25 in square and 12 in tall with a 25 ft hose to coil.
