Questions and answers
- Are these two listings the same shoe?
- Yes. Both are the Hoka Bondi 9 with the same 42mm super critical foam midsole, 5mm drop and Durabrasion outsole. The difference is price, width options and how many stores carry each.
- Which is better for long runs and standing all day?
- Either one. The Bondi 9 is Hoka's max-cushion road shoe, built for high-mileage training and long hours on your feet. The women's listing adds wide and extra-wide fits, which matter more than the listing itself.
- Is the women's listing worth it over the other?
- Yes at current prices. $79.00 at Hoka Hiking Shoes versus $174.95 at Commonwealth Running Co. as of November 3, 2026 buys the same shoe for about $96 less.
- Does the Bondi 9 run true to size?
- It fits true to size for most runners, and the wide and extra-wide options help if you need room. Try your usual Hoka size first.
- Is the Bondi 9 good for speed work?
- No. The 42mm stack and roughly 3 lb weight suit easy miles and recovery days. For tempo runs, a lighter shoe works better.
- How low has the price gone?
- The women's listing hit $72.00 on November 1, 2026 and was $155.00 on October 28, 2026. The current $79.00 is close to the low.
