Questions and answers
- Which is better for a small studio apartment?
- The Ktaxon takes far less floor space at 35.43 inches round, and its chairs tuck under. The MALM needs a 59 by 78 inch footprint plus room to open drawers.
- Is the Ktaxon dining set worth the price?
- At $69.99 to $82.99 it is cheap for a table and two chairs. The 2.6 rating from 8 buyers is a warning, and the listing contradicts itself on seating capacity.
- Does the MALM need a box spring?
- No. Slats are included and it works as a platform bed. You still need to buy a queen mattress.
- Which lasts longer?
- The MALM has a longer track record, with buyers reporting years of use, but also complaints about creaking and loose parts. The Ktaxon has too few ratings to judge.
- Can I put storage under either one?
- Only the MALM offers it, through optional MALM bed boxes on casters. The Ktaxon has no built-in storage.
