    What reviewers say

    Mainstays 12-Piece Dinnerware Set

Owner feedback on Mainstays stoneware sets is mixed but leans positive for the price. Most say the pieces look good on the table and hold up for daily use, while a minority report chipping and uneven glaze.

    Pros
    • Good value for a full service for four
    • Looks clean and classic in white
    • Survives dishwasher and microwave use
    Cons
    • Some pieces arrive chipped or with glaze flaws
    • Rims can chip after months of daily use
    • Bowls are shallower than expected

GUEICN Heavy Duty Scour Pads Sponge Dish Scrubber Non-Scratch Green Reusable Household Scrub Pads for Kitchen and Dish Cleaning Tool (12Pcs)

No verified owner reviews for this specific GUEICN pack were available, so judge it by the general reputation of thin polyester scour pads. Buyers of similar pads typically report they work for everyday dish duty and degrade quickly on heavy burnt-on messes.

    Pros
    • Cheap enough to replace often
    • Works on everyday grease and food residue
    • Flexible for corners and curved surfaces
    Cons
    • Wears down and sheds fibers after repeated heavy use
    • Can leave fine scratches on some finishes
    • Green dye can transfer when new

    Questions and answers

Can I use the GUEICN pads on the Mainstays plates?
Yes. The pads are listed as non-scratch and safe for porcelain and stone, so they suit glazed stoneware. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could dull the glaze.
    Which one lasts longer?
The Mainstays stoneware should last years with normal care, though it can chip. The GUEICN pads are consumables that wear down with use and get thrown away.
Is the Mainstays set enough for a family of four?
Yes. It includes four dinner plates, four salad plates and four bowls, so each person gets one of each. You get no mugs or serving platters.
Are the GUEICN pads safe on nonstick pans?
The listing names glass, plastic, porcelain, stone and wood, not nonstick coatings. Test a small area first or use a soft sponge on coated pans.
Can the Mainstays pieces go in the microwave?
Yes, the pieces are microwave safe for reheating. They are also dishwasher safe.
    Do I need both?
Only if you need dishes and scrubbers. They serve unrelated jobs, so buy whichever you actually lack.
