Which is better for a kitchen sink base?

Neither is sold as a sink base. Both are 36 in. wide base cabinets with a faux drawer, so you would have to cut the top and back for plumbing. B gives you two shelves and soft-close doors for less money.

Is the Shaker cabinet worth the extra cost?

It is not extra. B is $149.90 at Walmart versus $159.90 for A at The Home Depot as of November 3, 2026, so B is cheaper and adds soft-close hinges and a second shelf.

Which one lasts longer?

Both use engineered wood and ready-to-assemble construction, so life span depends mostly on assembly and moisture. B's soft-close hinges reduce door slam wear, which helps over time.

Do both come fully assembled?

No. Both are ready to assemble and ship flat. You need basic tools and about an hour or two per cabinet.

Are the dimensions the same?

Yes, both are 36 in. wide, 24 in. deep and 34.5 in. high. B's spec table lists width and depth in swapped order, so trust the 36 W x 24 D figure.

Which has better reviews?

A shows 4 out of 5 but from only 1 rating. B shows 3 out of 5 from 10 ratings. Neither sample is large enough to be reliable.
