About the Safavieh Florida Shag Rug
The Safavieh Florida Shag is a power-loomed, handmade-finish shag rug with a high-low floral pile, sold here in a 6'7" square black colorway. Its 100% polypropylene pile is stain-resistant and non-toxic, and the brand lists it for bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms. The best new price is $45.14 at Lowe's as of November 6, 2026, the top of a narrow recent range of $42.57 to $45.14 across 9 stores. That spread is small, so waiting for a deeper drop is unlikely to pay off soon.

Pros
- High-low floral pile adds visible texture, not a flat shag
- Polypropylene pile is stain-resistant and easy to clean
- Non-toxic certification and indoor-only construction
- Large 6'7" square covers a good chunk of floor for the price
- Power-loomed build keeps cost low while mimicking handmade shag
