How many cups does the Assile 12L urn make?

About 80 five-ounce cups, or 3.2 gallons, per full batch. That suits events of 50 to 80 people with one refill.

Is $79.50 a good price for this urn?

It is the lowest new price among the two stores listing it, at eBay as of November 6, 2026. Comparable 80-cup stainless urns usually cost more, so it is a fair deal at that price.

Does it brew coffee or only keep it hot?

It is an electric percolator, so it brews and holds coffee in the same vessel. Expect percolator-style coffee, which is stronger and can turn bitter if it stays on the warmer too long.

What is double-wall construction good for?

The inner and outer steel walls trap heat, so coffee stays warm longer and the outside stays cooler to the touch. It also makes the urn heavier than single-wall models.

The stainless interior wipes clean, but the tall body and spigot need careful rinsing. Descale regularly if you have hard water, since percolators build up mineral film.

What comes in the box?

Typically the urn, a lid, a basket or filter assembly and a cord. Check the listing for included filters and the plug type before buying.
