About the Lenovo Legion 5i 15.1" WQXGA 165Hz Gaming Laptop, Core i7-14700HX, Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 3 Month Microsoft 365

The Lenovo Legion 5i 15IRX10 is a 15.1-inch gaming laptop with a 2560 x 1600 165Hz OLED screen, an Intel Core i7-14700HX and an 8GB RTX 5060, in a 1.9 kg chassis. The OLED panel, Wi-Fi 7 and Coldfront Hyper cooling are the standouts for a machine this thin. Its best new price is $2,138.00 at DirectDial as of November 3, 2026, far below the $2,849.00 high seen on October 31 but well above a $809.00 one-day low on November 1 that looks like a clearance or error price.

Best forGamers who want an OLED panel at 165HzStudents who need one machine for play and courseworkBuyers who want RTX 5060 power without a heavy 17-inch bodyAnyone who values Wi-Fi 7 and a 1TB SSD out of the box
Pros
  • 165Hz 2560 x 1600 OLED with anti-burn-in tech
  • Core i7-14700HX and RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 handle modern titles
  • 1.9 kg and 19.95 mm thin for a gaming laptop
  • 1TB NVMe SSD and 16GB DDR5, plus Wi-Fi 7
  • Backlit TrueStrike keyboard and Legion Coldfront Hyper cooling
Cons
  • 16GB RAM is the base for a machine at this price
  • RTX 5060 is mid-range, not a 4K-class GPU
  • No retail box on the open-box listing
  • OLED burn-in risk remains over years of static UI use
  • Battery life will be short with the OLED at high refresh

What reviewers say

The Legion 5i line rates well with owners, 4.4 out of 5 from 485 ratings here, and the OLED panel and cooling are the most common praise. Complaints tend to center on fan noise under load and the 16GB memory ceiling.

Pros
  • Bright, color-accurate OLED screen
  • Strong cooling for the chassis size
  • Solid build and keyboard feel
  • Good frame rates at 1600p in most games
Cons
  • Fans get loud in performance mode
  • 16GB RAM limits heavy multitasking
  • Battery drains fast unplugged
  • Some units ship with extra software to remove

Questions and answers

Is the Legion 5i with RTX 5060 worth $2,138?
It is a fair price for a 165Hz OLED gaming laptop with an i7-14700HX and 1TB SSD, but the $809.00 low on November 1 shows how far it can swing. Compare against RTX 5070 machines near this price before buying.
How does it compare with the previous Legion 5i?
The 15IRX10 moves to a 15.1-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED at 165Hz, Wi-Fi 7 and RTX 5060, and trims weight to 1.9 kg. The older model's LCD panel and Wi-Fi 6E are the main step-downs.
How is the battery life?
Expect roughly 4 to 6 hours of light use and under 2 hours gaming on the OLED at 165Hz. Drop the refresh rate and brightness for longer unplugged sessions.
Can I upgrade the RAM and storage?
Yes, the Legion 5i has two SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 slots, so you can add memory beyond 16GB and a second SSD. Check the service manual before opening the bottom panel.
What comes in the box?
This open-box listing ships the laptop in new condition without a retail box, plus a 3-month Microsoft 365 Personal subscription. A power adapter is included; confirm with the seller if you need the original packaging.
When is it cheapest?
Prices swung from $809.00 on November 1 to $2,849.00 on October 31, so watch for flash sales around Black Friday and back-to-school. Set a price alert rather than buying at the current $2,138.00.
