    Questions and answers

Is the Asus ROG Strix G18 worth $1,849?
At $1,849 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is the lowest new price across 7 stores and near the bottom of its recent range. For a 16-core CPU, RTX 5070 and 240Hz 2.5K screen, that is a fair price if you want an 18-inch desktop replacement.
Can I play games at 240fps on this screen?
The 240Hz panel is best suited to esports titles like Valorant or CS2 at lower settings. Demanding AAA games will run well on the RTX 5070 but closer to 60-120fps at 2.5K, so the refresh rate is headroom rather than a guarantee.
    How is battery life?
Owners report about 5-6 hours of light use, which is normal for an 18-inch gaming laptop. Expect well under two hours when gaming unplugged, so keep the power brick nearby.
Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?
The listing caps supported RAM at 32GB, which is what it ships with, so treat memory as fixed. The 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD can be swapped or supplemented with a second drive.
    What is in the box?
You get the ROG Strix G18 (2025) laptop and the power brick. No mouse, headset or sleeve is included.
How does it compare with the previous G18?
This 2025 model moves to the Ryzen 9 9955HX and RTX 5070, a clear step up in CPU cores and graphics over older G18 versions. The 18-inch 240Hz 2.5K chassis and cooling design carry over.
