About the Costway Men's 9 Pieces Complete Golf Club Set

The Costway Men's 9-Piece Complete Golf Club Set is a budget starter package for right-handed men, with regular-flex shafts and a grey finish. It covers the basics a new golfer needs in one box rather than buying clubs separately. At $158.39 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, with six stores listing it new.

Best forFirst-time golfers building a bag from scratchCasual players who play a few rounds a yearGift buyers on a tight budgetSomeone who wants one purchase instead of piecing a set together
Pros
  • Full starter set in one purchase
  • Regular flex suits average swing speeds
  • Right-handed men's sizing
  • Low entry price compared with name-brand sets
  • Simple grey finish that hides wear
Cons
  • Budget build quality and grips
  • No premium brand resale value
  • Regular flex only, so not for stiff-swing players
  • Nine clubs leaves gaps a full 14-club set would fill

    • What reviewers say

Owners rate it 4.8 out of 5 across 70 ratings, and the pattern in budget-set feedback is that buyers see it as good value for beginners and casual rounds. Experienced players tend to notice the lighter build and basic grips.

    • Easy for beginners to start playing
    • Arrives as a full matching set
    Cons
    • Grips and shafts feel basic

    Questions and answers

Is this set worth it for a beginner?
Yes, if you are new to golf and want one purchase that covers the main clubs. The price is low enough that upgrading individual clubs later costs little.
    Is it right-handed only?
Yes, this listing is right-handed. Left-handed golfers need a different set.
    What flex are the shafts?
Regular flex, which suits average swing speeds. Players with fast swings usually want stiff shafts.
How many clubs are in the set?
Nine pieces, so expect woods, irons, a wedge and a putter rather than a full 14-club bag.
    When is it cheapest?
The current $158.39 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range. Watch for seasonal sales in spring and around the holidays.
Does it come with a bag?
Check the set contents before buying, since nine-piece starter sets vary on whether a bag is included.
