About the Mini Projector 1080p Portable Projector

This is a small, budget LCD projector sold under a generic name, with a body about the size of a large smartphone (6.69 x 4.9 x 2.64 inches, 1.4 lb) and a carry handle. It claims 1080p playback, a 30-180 inch image, built-in stereo speakers, Bluetooth, and HDMI/USB/AV/audio inputs. The brightness claims are inflated: "8,000 lumen" and "9000 Lux" are marketing figures, not measured ANSI lumens, and real output is far lower. At $49.95 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the only price seen since November 1, so there is no cheaper point in its short history to wait for.

    Questions and answers

    Is it worth $49.95?
If you want a big screen in a dark room for very little money, yes. If you expect a bright, sharp 1080p image in daylight, no; spend more on a name-brand model.
    Is the resolution really 1080p?
It supports 1080p input, but at this price the native panel is usually lower, often 720p or less. Expect a softer image than a true 1080p projector.
Are the 8,000 lumen and 9000 Lux claims accurate?
No. Those are marketing figures, not measured ANSI lumens. Real output is far lower, so plan to use it in a dark room.
    Does it have a battery?
No. It runs on wall power, so you need an outlet or a portable power station for outdoor use.
What can I connect to it?
HDMI, USB, AV and audio inputs, plus Bluetooth for speakers or headphones. A phone needs a cable or cast device, since there is no built-in streaming.
    When is it cheapest?
The lowest price seen is $49.95 at Walmart on November 1, 2026, and it has not moved since. There is no cheaper point to wait for so far.
