    Questions and answers

Is the Gikpal adjustable dumbbell set worth it?
Yes for light home or travel workouts. At $29.59 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, you get four weights per hand in one compact pair. It is not a substitute for heavier dumbbells once 5 lbs feels easy.
How much weight does each dumbbell hold?
Each dumbbell adjusts from 2 to 5 lbs in 1 lb steps, so the pair tops out at 10 lbs total. That suits arms, shoulders and light core work, not heavy pressing.
How do you change the weight?
Press the collar and slide it to the 2, 3, 4 or 5 lb mark. Buyers say switching is quick and simple.
Are these dumbbells good for beginners?
Yes. The 2 to 5 lb range fits new lifters and warm-ups, and the non-slip rubber handle helps with grip. Expect to outgrow them within a few months of regular training.
Can I use them for walking workouts?
Yes. Buyers report they work well for walking workouts, and the compact size makes them easy to carry. Keep the load light and the collars tight.
When is the best time to buy?
Only one store, Walmart, lists a new price, $29.59 as of November 3, 2026, so there is little to compare. Watch for holiday and New Year fitness sales, when small home weights often drop.
