How fast does the Gymax 12V ride-on go?

Most 12V ride-on trucks top out around 2 to 4 mph. That is walking pace for an adult, which is the point: a parent can keep up on foot.

How long does the battery last per charge?

Expect roughly 1 to 2 hours of stop-and-go riding on a full charge, less if the child rides continuously. Charge it fully after each use and store it indoors.

Can a parent control it?

Yes. The included remote lets an adult steer, accelerate and stop, which is the main reason to pick this over a car without a remote for a child under about 3.

It fits roughly ages 1 to 4, within the weight limit printed on the car. Older or heavier kids will outgrow the seat and the 12V motor quickly.

Does it work on grass?

Only on short, dry, flat grass, and slowly. Plastic wheels and a 12V motor do best on pavement, driveways and packed dirt.

What comes in the box?

The car in panels, the battery, the charger, the remote and the hardware. Budget 30 to 60 minutes for assembly and charge the battery fully before the first ride.

The 12V system is the mid-tier setup for this class: quicker than 6V cars but not as fast as 24V models. It suits a first powered vehicle for a toddler or preschooler on flat pavement.
