Fold it up, pop it in the trunk, ride the city

Questions and answers

Is the Owngold 14-inch folding e-bike worth it?

At $169.99 it is one of the cheapest electric folders you can buy, so it suits very short trips and tight storage. Expect basic components and a firm ride from the small wheels; it is not a substitute for a full-size commuter e-bike.

How fast does it go and what is the range?

The listing gives no motor wattage, battery capacity or range figures, so treat any speed or range claim as unconfirmed. Budget 14-inch folders typically top out around 15 mph with modest range, but check the motor and battery specs before buying.

Will it fit in a car trunk or a small apartment?

The frame folds, and 14-inch wheels keep the folded footprint small, so it should fit in most trunks and closets. Measure the folded dimensions once you have them, since steel frames and handlebars still take up space.

Is it good for a tall adult?

Probably not. Small 14-inch wheels and a short frame give a cramped fit for taller riders; it suits riders of average or shorter height on short trips.

What comes in the box?

The listing does not detail the box contents. Expect the bike, charger and basic tools, but confirm whether a charger, manual and pedals are included before ordering.

When is it cheapest?

Only one new price is listed: $169.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026. With no competing stores, watch for seasonal sales rather than expecting a price war.
