About it

This Mainstays collapsible floor lamp brings a soft bohemian look to room lighting. It pairs a matte black base with an ivory rice paper cylinder shade for a clean, airy accent in a living room or bedroom. The tall profile helps it stand out without taking over the space, and the footswitch gives you an easy way to turn the lamp on or off at the end of the day. A 5 ft cord gives you more flexibility when placing it indoors, so it works well where you need extra light and a simple decorative touch.

    Questions and answers

Is the Mainstays Collapsible Floor Lamp worth it?
At $19.12 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is a cheap way to add soft accent light. It is not a task lamp, so do not expect it to light a whole room for reading.
Is today's price a good one?
It is the highest price in its short recent history: $13.97 on October 30 versus $19.12 on November 1 and November 3, 2026. If you can wait, it has sold for less.
    What bulb does it take?
It ships with an LED bulb included. The socket takes a standard bulb, so you can swap in a brighter or warmer one if you want more light.
How tall is it, and how big is the shade?
The lamp stands 52 inches tall. The cylinder shade is 36 inches high and 9 inches in diameter.
Does it have a switch on the cord?
Yes, it has a footswitch on the 5-foot cord, so you turn it on and off with your foot.
Can the shade be replaced or cleaned?
The rice paper shade is delicate and should be dusted rather than washed. Treat it gently when collapsing or moving the lamp.
