Is the WORKPRO 12V drill kit worth it?

For light home repairs and a first toolbox, yes. At $39.99 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, you get a working drill plus 61 pieces. If you drill hardwoods or masonry regularly, spend more on a higher-torque 18V or 20V drill.

How does it compare with an 18V drill?

It is lighter and cheaper but much less powerful. The 20 N.M motor handles screws, pilot holes and light assembly; an 18V drill has the torque for decking and larger holes.

How long does the battery last?

The kit includes one 1.5Ah 12V battery, which suits short repair sessions rather than all-day work. Expect to recharge between bigger projects, and note there is only one battery in the box.

What comes in the box?

The drill driver, a 1.5Ah battery, charger, utility knife, drill bits, screwdriver bits, pliers and other hand tools, all in a 14-inch storage bag.

What size bits does the chuck take?

The 3/8-inch keyless ratcheting chuck takes standard round and hex shank bits up to 3/8 inch. The included drill bits are HSS4241 and the screwdriver bits are CR-V steel.

It was $39.99 at Walmart on October 30, 2026 and still $39.99 on November 3, 2026, with two stores listing it new. Watch for holiday tool sales, when kits like this usually drop.
