Is the HP 17.3-inch i7 laptop good for gaming?

No. It relies on Intel UHD integrated graphics, which handle video and light titles but not modern games at high settings. A laptop with a dedicated GPU is the better choice for gaming.

Is 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD enough?

Yes for most people. 16GB handles dozens of browser tabs and Office apps, and a 1TB SSD leaves plenty of room for files and photos.

How bright is the screen?

HP rates it at 250 nits with 45% NTSC color. That is fine indoors but washes out near a window or in sunlight, and colors are not vivid enough for photo editing.

How long does the battery last?

HP claims up to 10 hours. Real-world use with a bright 17.3-inch screen usually lands lower, so expect a full workday only with moderate brightness.

Is $799.99 a good price for this configuration?

It is the best new price among the 2 stores listing it as of November 7, 2026. Comparable 17-inch i7 laptops with 16GB and 1TB often sell for $700 to $900, so it sits in the normal range.

What comes in the box?

The laptop and its power adapter. A mouse, sleeve and other accessories are usually sold separately.
