Questions and answers

Is the Alienware Aurora 16 worth it at $1,040.00?

At $1,040.00 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is the lowest price seen since October 30 and about $620 under the $1,659.99 high. For a 16-inch WQXGA 120Hz laptop with an RTX 5050, that is a strong value.

How does it compare with the previous Aurora generation?

This model moves to Intel Core Series 2 processors and RTX 50-series graphics on a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 120Hz panel. The chassis is slimmer and uses the Cryo-Chamber cooling layout.

Is 512GB of storage enough?

It is tight. Large games can take 100GB or more each, so plan on adding a drive or uninstalling titles regularly. Check whether the model you buy has a free M.2 slot.

Can I upgrade the RAM?

The Aurora 16 is listed with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB configurations, so pick the capacity you need at purchase. Confirm slot access for the specific configuration before buying.

Is the 120Hz screen good for gaming?

Yes. 2560 x 1600 at 120Hz gives sharp detail and smooth motion, though the RTX 5050 will need reduced settings to hit high frame rates in demanding games. The 300-nit brightness is fine indoors but weak in bright light.

When is it cheapest?

The lowest daily price since October 30, 2026 was $1,040.00 on November 3, against a high of $1,659.99 on November 2. That spread suggests prices move sharply around sales events, so watch for drops rather than buying at the high.
