Is the KitchenAid KDTS224SPS worth it at $697.99?

At $697.99 at Appliance Solutions as of November 3, 2026, it is a fair mid-range price for a quiet three-rack KitchenAid with leak detection. It has held near $698 since November 2, so there is little reason to expect a quick drop.

How quiet is it compared with rivals?

At 47 dBA it is quieter than many budget dishwashers but louder than premium models rated under 40 dBA. It should be fine in an open kitchen, though you will hear it on the Tough cycle.

Does it fit a standard 24-inch cutout?

Yes. It is 23-15/16 inches wide and 34-5/8 inches high at maximum, which fits a standard 24-inch opening. It needs 51 inches of depth with the door open 90 degrees, so check clearance in front.

You get the dishwasher, the third-level utensil rack, and installation hardware. A power cord and water supply line are typically sold separately, so confirm with the retailer before install day.

Does it have smart features?

No. There is no Wi-Fi or app control, so cycles and the 24-hour delay are set from the top tap-touch panel only.

Its lowest recent price was $697.99 on November 3, 2026, only a cent below the $698.00 high on November 2. Appliance promotions around holidays are the usual window for deeper discounts.
