Is the Alienware Aurora 16 worth $1,099?

At $1,099 you get a 16-inch QHD 120Hz screen, a current Intel Core 7 CPU and an RTX 5050 GPU, which is reasonable for a mid-range gaming laptop. It is a fair price rather than a standout deal, since it has not dropped below that level since tracking began.

Can it run modern games at 120fps?

The 120Hz screen can display up to 120fps, but the RTX 5050 is an entry-level GPU for this generation. Expect smooth play at 2560 x 1600 in lighter titles and lower frame rates in demanding games unless you drop settings or resolution.

Is 512GB of storage enough?

It is tight for gaming. Several large modern titles can fill most of the drive, so plan on adding an SSD or managing installs carefully.

How does it compare with the previous Aurora generation?

This model moves to the Intel Core 7-240H and the RTX 5050, a newer Blackwell-generation GPU, and uses Alienware's Cryo-Chamber cooling. The 16-inch QHD 120Hz panel is the headline upgrade over older 15-inch models.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, its power adapter and standard paperwork. A mouse, headset or carrying case is not included.

The lowest price seen so far is $1,099 at Walmart, recorded on November 1, 2026, and it has stayed there. Watch for holiday sales, when gaming laptops typically see their deepest discounts.

Only HDMI is listed among video outputs, so check for DisplayPort or USB-C before multi-monitor setups
No price movement yet, so there is no discount history to judge against
