Is this MacBook Pro still worth buying?

Yes for light work like writing, browsing and email at a low price. Skip it if you need current macOS, USB-C or video editing.

What is the newest macOS it runs?

macOS Monterey is the last supported release for the Early 2015 13-inch model. Newer versions will not install officially.

How is the battery life now?

Apple rated it at 10 hours when new. On a used unit expect less, so ask the seller for the cycle count and condition before buying.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

RAM is soldered and cannot be changed. The SSD uses a proprietary Apple connector but can be replaced with a compatible drive.

No. It has two USB-A ports, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, HDMI, an SD card slot and a headphone jack. You need adapters for USB-C devices.

Prices on this generation fall around back-to-school season and after new MacBook launches. Used stock also gets cheaper as more units age out of macOS support.

Our take on the Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch Early 2015 Core i7 16GB RAM

The MacBook Pro 13-inch Early 2015 is Apple's last 13-inch Pro with a full set of legacy ports, a Retina 2560 x 1600 display and a user-replaceable SSD. This configuration pairs the dual-core Core i7 at 3.1 GHz with 16 GB RAM and a 2 TB SSD, the top spec of that generation. It is a used-market machine now, so the price depends heavily on battery health and cosmetic condition.
