Our take on the Casper Select 12" Memory Foam Mattress

The Casper Select 12" is a medium-firm memory foam mattress in Queen size, built from four layers of CertiPUR-US certified foam under a zip-off, hand-sewn knit cover. It pairs a breathable open-cell foam top layer with pressure-relieving memory foam and zoned support foam for spinal alignment. At $799.89 at CitywideShop.com as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the only price seen since October 30, 2026, so there is no discount history to judge against yet.

Pros
  • Medium-firm feel suits a wide range of sleepers
  • Zoned support foam targets shoulders, hips and back
  • Open-cell top layer is designed for airflow
  • CertiPUR-US certified foams with no ozone-depleting chemicals
  • Zip-off, hand-sewn knit cover can be removed
Cons
  • All-foam build can feel warm for very hot sleepers
  • 85 lb Queen is heavy to move and rotate
  • No hybrid coils, so less bounce and edge support
  • Mattress only in the box; no foundation or pillow included
  • Only one store lists it, so price competition is limited

Questions and answers

Is the Casper Select 12" worth $799.89?
At $799.89 at CitywideShop.com as of November 3, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a 12-inch Queen all-foam mattress with zoned support. That is the only price recorded since October 30, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to wait for.
How firm is the Casper Select 12"?
Casper rates it medium firm. Most back and side sleepers find it supportive, while stomach sleepers or heavier sleepers may want something firmer.
Does the Casper Select 12" sleep hot?
The open-cell top layer and breathable knit cover are designed to improve airflow, but it is still an all-foam mattress. Hot sleepers often find it warmer than a hybrid with coils.
What size and weight is the Queen?
The Queen measures 60 by 80 inches and is 12 inches thick. The mattress weighs about 85 lbs, so plan for two people to move it.
What comes in the box?
The mattress only. No foundation, box spring or pillows are included, so you need a bed frame or base that supports foam.
When is the Casper Select 12" cheapest?
The lowest recorded price is $799.89 at CitywideShop.com on October 30, 2026, and it has not moved since. Watch for holiday mattress sales, when all-foam Queens often drop below list price.
Where is the Casper Select 12" Memory Foam Mattress cheapest?
At CitywideShop.com, for $799.89, 31% off, as of our latest check.
Is the Casper Select 12" Memory Foam Mattress at its lowest price?
Yes: $799.89 is the lowest price we've seen for it since October 30.
Where can I buy the Casper Select 12" Memory Foam Mattress?
2 stores we checked sell it, including CitywideShop.com, eBay.
