Is this saw worth it over a non-sliding 12 in. miter saw?
Yes if you cut wide boards, crown or decking. The sliding rails add crosscut capacity a fixed 12 in. saw cannot match, and the dual bevel saves flipping stock. For narrow trim only, a non-sliding saw is lighter and cheaper.
Can it cut 4x4 and 6 in. baseboard?
A 12 in. sliding saw in this class cuts a 4x4 in one pass at 90 degrees and handles tall baseboard standing against the fence. Check the vertical capacity at the bevel angles you plan to use, since it drops as you tilt.
Does the stand come in the box?

Will a standard 12 in. blade fit?
