Our take on the DeWalt 20V MAX Cordless Combo Kit with FLEXVOLT 6Ah Batteries and 4-Port Charger

This DeWalt kit bundles three 20V MAX tools with two FLEXVOLT 6Ah batteries and a four-port charger. The FLEXVOLT packs run at 20V in 20V MAX tools and switch to 60V in 60V MAX tools, so they cover both lines. The four-port charger refills several packs at once, which suits crews running tools back to back. It is a kit for someone starting or expanding a DeWalt cordless setup rather than buying one bare tool.

Questions and answers

Do the FLEXVOLT batteries work in regular 20V MAX tools?
Yes. FLEXVOLT packs run at 20V in 20V MAX tools and switch to 60V in 60V MAX tools. You can use them across both lines.
How long do the 6Ah batteries last per charge?
Runtime depends on the tool and task. A 6Ah pack roughly triples the run time of a 2Ah pack in the same tool, so expect long sessions on drills and saws before a recharge.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes three 20V MAX tools, two FLEXVOLT 6Ah batteries and a four-port charger. Check the listing for the exact tool models and whether a bag is included.
Is this kit worth it over buying tools separately?
It makes sense if you need all three tools and the batteries. If you already own good packs, buying bare tools usually costs less.
Can the four-port charger charge all batteries at once?
Yes, it has four bays and manages charging across them. Larger packs still take longer to fill than compact ones.
When is this kit cheapest?
DeWalt combo kits tend to drop around Black Friday, Father's Day and end-of-season tool sales. Compare the price against its recent range before buying.
