Our take on the EspressoWorks Barista Pro Series Espresso Machine with Grinder, LCD Display and Steamer

The EspressoWorks Barista Pro Series is a semi-automatic home espresso machine with a built-in conical burr grinder, a 15-bar pump, and a steam wand for lattes and cappuccinos. Its thermoblock heats up in about 60 seconds, and the LCD screen shows and controls the settings. It ships as a 30-piece bundle with a portafilter, single and double baskets, tamper, knock box and cups. At $299 at EspressoWorks as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the only price seen since October 31, 2026, so there is no cheaper point in its short recorded history.

Best forFirst-time home espresso buyers who want grinder and machine in oneLatte and cappuccino drinkers who froth milk by handSmall kitchens with limited counter spaceShoppers who want a starter kit with tools included
Pros
  • Built-in conical burr grinder with 15 settings saves buying a separate grinder
  • 15-bar pump and thermoblock reach brew temperature in about 60 seconds
  • Large 77 oz (2.3 L) removable water tank needs fewer refills
  • Steam wand handles milk for lattes and cappuccinos
  • 30-piece bundle covers baskets, tamper, knock box and cups
  • Stainless steel housing and LCD controls
Cons
  • Semi-automatic: you grind, dose, tamp and time shots yourself
  • Single boiler and steam wand mean waiting between brewing and frothing
  • No pressure gauge or PID temperature control at this price
  • Grinder and brew group are entry-level, so shot quality has limits
  • Bulky with the grinder and hopper attached

Questions and answers

Is the EspressoWorks Barista Pro worth $299?
At $299 it bundles a burr grinder, espresso machine and accessory kit, which is less than buying a comparable grinder and entry machine separately. It is a reasonable starter package if you accept semi-automatic workflow and entry-level components.
How does it compare with the Breville Barista Express?
Both combine a conical burr grinder with a 15-bar espresso machine and steam wand. The EspressoWorks adds a 30-piece kit and a larger 77 oz tank, while the Barista Express is the more established design with a pressure gauge and wider owner history.
How long does it take to heat up?
The thermoblock is rated ready in about 60 seconds. Give it a few extra minutes and run a blank shot so the group and cup are hot before brewing.
What is in the box?
The machine with built-in grinder, drip tray, 77 oz water tank, portafilter with single and double baskets, tamper, knock box, and the rest of the 30-piece barista bundle including cups and cleaning supplies.
Can I use pre-ground coffee instead of the grinder?
Yes. The portafilter baskets accept pre-ground coffee, so you can skip the grinder, though the built-in grinder with 15 settings is the main reason to buy this model.
When is it cheapest?
The lowest price recorded is $299 at EspressoWorks as of November 3, 2026, and it has not moved since October 31, 2026. Watch for bundle or holiday promotions, since only one store currently lists it new.
Where is the EspressoWorks Barista Pro Series Espresso Machine with Grinder, LCD Display and Steamer cheapest?
At EspressoWorks, for $299.00, 50% off, as of our latest check.
Is the EspressoWorks Barista Pro Series Espresso Machine with Grinder, LCD Display and Steamer at its lowest price?
