Our take on the Eyotto 1200lm USB Rechargeable Bike Light

The Eyotto 1200lm USB Rechargeable Bike Light is a handlebar-mounted headlight aimed at everyday visibility and safety riding rather than trail use. It claims 1200 lumens from a mixed beam pattern, runs on a built-in lithium-ion battery charged over USB, and is rated waterproof at 0.45 lb. It has two brightness modes, High and Low, which is a narrow set for a light at this output. The latest best price is not available in the data provided, so compare it against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is 1200 lumens enough for unlit roads?
It is enough to be seen and to light a short stretch ahead at commuting speed. For fast riding on completely dark roads, most riders want more output and a wider beam.
How long does the battery last?
Eyotto does not publish runtime for High or Low. Expect High to drain the battery considerably faster than Low, so plan charging after long rides.
Does it have a flashing mode?
No. The listed modes are High and Low only, so there is no flash or strobe for daytime visibility.
Is it waterproof enough for heavy rain?
It is rated waterproof and listed as good for rain visibility. That covers normal riding in wet weather; do not submerge it.
What is in the box?
The light and a handlebar mount are the core contents. A USB charging cable is commonly included with this type of light, but confirm the exact contents before ordering.
When is it cheapest?
Bike lights usually drop during spring and early summer sales and around Black Friday. Check the price history for this model rather than assuming today's price is the low point.
