Is the Flex recip saw worth it?

It is a strong pick if you are already on the Flex 24V platform and want orbital action and low vibration. If you own no Flex batteries, add their cost before deciding.

Does the kit include a battery?

The listed specs say battery included: no, even though it is sold as a kit. Confirm the contents with the seller before you buy.

How does it compare with a corded recip saw?

Cordless convenience and no cord to manage, but a corded saw runs all day without battery swaps. The Flex claims up to 50 4x4 cuts on a 5.0Ah pack.

Wood and metal, with a 9-inch blade and a 19.3-inch cutting depth. Orbital action helps in wood; switch it off for cleaner metal cuts.

7.4 lbs without a battery. With a 5.0Ah pack it gets noticeably heavier, which matters for overhead demolition.

Our take on the Flex 24V Brushless Cordless Reciprocating Saw Kit

The Flex 24V Brushless Cordless Reciprocating Saw Kit is a demolition-focused recip saw built around a brushless 24V motor that spins up to 3,000 rpm and adds orbital action for faster cuts in wood. It has a keyless blade eject, vibration suppression and a 9-inch blade, and Flex claims it can cut up to 50 4x4s on a 5.0Ah battery. The saw weighs 7.4 lbs without a battery, and the kit's battery situation matters: the listing says no battery is included, so confirm what the kit actually ships with before comparing prices.
