Our take on the Granitestone Ceraluxe 20-Piece Aluminum Ceramic Nonstick Cookware and Bakeware Set

The Granitestone Ceraluxe 20-Piece set is an aluminum cookware and bakeware collection with a beige ceramic nonstick coating. It covers pots, pans and baking pieces in one box, and the coating is advertised as dishwasher safe. It is a budget-friendly way to stock a first kitchen rather than a buy-it-for-life set.

Best forFirst apartments and starter kitchensCooks who want one box to cover pots, pans and bakingBuyers who prefer a ceramic nonstick surfacePeople who want dishwasher-safe cleanup
Pros
  • 20 pieces cover stovetop and oven cooking in one purchase
  • Ceramic nonstick releases eggs and sticky foods without much oil
  • Aluminum body heats quickly and is light to lift
  • Dishwasher safe on paper, which suits low-effort cleanup
  • Beige finish stands out from standard black cookware
Cons
  • Ceramic coatings typically lose their release over a year or two of daily use
  • Aluminum is soft and can dent or warp with high heat or thermal shock
  • Thin-gauge pans can develop hot spots on electric coils
  • Hand washing is still the safer bet to protect the coating
  • Large set size means several pieces may see little use

Questions and answers

Is this set worth it?
It is a reasonable value if you need many pieces at once and accept that ceramic nonstick has a limited lifespan. Buy it as a starter set, not as a long-term investment.
How does it compare with a hard-anodized set?
Hard-anodized aluminum is denser and more scratch-resistant, and usually costs more. This set is lighter and cheaper but more prone to dents and coating wear.
Is it really dishwasher safe?
The manufacturer lists it as dishwasher safe, but dishwasher detergent and heat shorten the life of any ceramic coating. Hand washing with a soft sponge will keep it nonstick longer.
What is included in the 20 pieces?
Expect a mix of pots with lids, frying pans, and bakeware such as a baking sheet and muffin pan. Check the piece list before buying if you need a specific size.
Is it safe for metal utensils?
No. Use silicone, wood or plastic utensils. Metal tools will scratch the ceramic coating and speed up its wear.
When is the price lowest?
Set prices tend to dip during major sale events and at the end of the year. Check the price history on this page before buying.
