Is this sander worth it if I already own Greenworks 24V batteries?

Yes. If you already have 24V packs and a charger, the bare tool is a low-cost way to add a cordless sander to your kit. If you are starting from zero, budget for a battery and charger, which can cost as much as the tool.

What comes in the box?

The sander and a removable dust collection bag. No battery, charger, sanding discs or case are included.

How long does the battery last?

Expect roughly 20 to 40 minutes of continuous sanding on a 2Ah pack, longer on a 4Ah pack. Runtime drops at the highest speed setting and under heavy pressure.

Does it take standard 5-inch sanding discs?

Yes. It uses standard 5-inch hook-and-loop discs, and the included 80-grit disc is a good starting point. The 5,000 to 11,000 OPM range suits 80, 120 and 240 grit.

Can I connect it to a shop vacuum?

The dust port is set up for the included bag. Check for an adapter if you want to hook up a vacuum, since the bag alone fills quickly on larger jobs.

When is the best time to buy?

Bare-tool prices tend to dip during spring home-improvement sales and around major holiday promotions. Watch for bundle deals that include a battery if you are new to the platform.
