Our take on the Macy's Brenalee 93" Performance Fabric Slipcover Sofa
The Brenalee is a 93-inch slipcovered sofa from Macy's with a kiln-dried solid hardwood frame, 8-way hand-tied seat coils and a removable, dry-cleanable performance fabric cover. It seats four, comes with four 22-inch toss pillows and arrives fully assembled through White Glove Delivery. The deep 45.3-inch footprint and 21-inch seat height make it a lounging and napping sofa more than a formal one. It is a mid-priced Macy's upholstery piece rather than a luxury or budget buy.

Questions and answers
- Is the Brenalee sofa worth it?
- If you want a deep, assembled-on-delivery sofa with a cover you can remove for cleaning, it is a reasonable mid-priced pick. Skip it if you need a compact sofa or want fabric that shrugs off stains without treatment.
- How does it compare with a standard non-slipcover sofa?
- The slipcover is the main difference: you can dry clean it and change the look without buying new furniture. The trade-off is that covers can shift and light colors still show wear.
- Can the slipcover be washed in a machine?
- Macy's specifies dry cleaning for the removable slipcover. Treat spills quickly, since owners report stains setting if left.
- How big is it in a room?
- It measures 92.9 inches wide, 45.3 inches deep and 35.8 inches high, with a 21-inch seat height. The depth is the number to check against your room and doorways.
- What comes in the box?
- The sofa arrives fully assembled via White Glove Delivery, along with four 22-inch toss pillows. Legs are removable.
- When is it cheapest?
- Macy's furniture typically discounts during major holiday sales and clearance events. Watch the price history rather than buying at full price.
