Our take on the nuLOOM Moroccan Blythe Area Rug

The nuLOOM Moroccan Blythe is a round, 5-foot indoor area rug in gray with a Moroccan-inspired trellis pattern, made from stain-resistant synthetic fiber with a 0.5-inch pile. It is a budget-friendly, easy-care accent rug meant for casual rooms rather than heirloom use. The latest listed price is $159 at Distritech as of November 3, which sits at the high end of its recent range; it has sold for less during seasonal sales.

Questions and answers

Is the nuLOOM Moroccan Blythe rug worth it?
For a low-cost accent rug in a small room, yes. It is not a long-term heirloom, but the stain-resistant synthetic surface and neutral pattern suit rentals and busy households.
Does this rug shed?
Some shedding is normal in the first weeks with synthetic pile. Regular vacuuming without a beater bar helps, and shedding usually settles.
What size is this rug?
This listing is the round 5-foot version, about 5 feet across, with a 0.5-inch pile. Check the exact diameter before buying for a round table or entryway.
Does it need a rug pad?
A pad is recommended. The backing is thin and can slide on hardwood or tile, and a pad adds cushioning and extends the rug's life.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum regularly and blot spills with a mild detergent and water. It is stain-resistant, but avoid soaking the backing.
When is it cheapest?
Prices tend to dip during seasonal sales and back-to-school events. The current $159 at Distritech as of November 3 is near the top of its recent range, so waiting for a markdown can pay off.
