Our take on the Pretend Play Grocery Store Set with Shopping Cart and 2 Chalkboards

A wooden pretend-play grocery set that includes a shopping cart and two chalkboards, aimed at kids 3 and up. The chalkboards let children write prices and signs, so the set doubles as a mini storefront and a drawing surface. At $114.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range across 9 stores. It is a bigger-ticket wooden toy, so it suits families who want a durable set that lasts through siblings.

Questions and answers

Is it worth $114.99?

What age is it for?
The set is rated for ages 3 and up. The wood pieces are heavy enough that younger toddlers may need help pushing the cart.
Are chalk and an eraser included?
Chalk and an eraser are usually not included with wooden chalkboard sets. Plan to buy sidewalk or blackboard chalk separately.
How big is the cart?
The cart is sized for a child to push and fill with play groceries, but it is a floor toy, so check the listed dimensions against your play space before buying.
When is it cheapest?
