Our take on the Prisma Visions Tarot
The Prisma Visions Tarot is a full 85-card tarot deck by James R. Eads, known for its impressionistic, prismatic artwork and a fourth suit, Visions, that sets it apart from standard 78-card decks. This is the 10th Anniversary Edition, with rainbow silver gilded edges, foil card titles, a matte clamshell box and a companion booklet. Cards measure 2.75" x 4.75", a standard tarot size that shuffles well for most hands. At $25.00 at Vermilion Collection as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of what this deck has sold for recently.
- Distinctive impressionistic artwork with a cohesive visual style
- 85 cards, including the extra Visions suit for expanded readings
- Rainbow silver gilded edges and foil titles give a premium look
- Durable card stock and a sturdy one-piece clamshell box
- Companion booklet included for guidance
- Standard 2.75" x 4.75" card size suits most hands
- The extra Visions suit departs from standard tarot structure and can confuse readers used to 78 cards
- Gilded edges and matte finish can make cards stick together until broken in
- Art-heavy minors can be harder to read intuitively than pip-style decks
- Booklet is brief compared with full-length guidebooks

Questions and answers
- Is this the standard Prisma Visions deck or a special edition?
- This is the 10th Anniversary Edition, with rainbow silver gilded edges, foil titles and a matte clamshell box. The artwork and 85-card structure match the standard deck.
- Why does it have 85 cards instead of 78?
- It adds a fourth suit, Visions, alongside the usual Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. That gives extra cards for readings but departs from standard tarot structure.
- Is it good for beginners?
- The booklet and clear imagery help, but the nonstandard suit means beginners should expect a learning curve. Many start with a standard 78-card deck first.
- What size are the cards?

- Is $25 a good price?
