Questions and answers

Is it worth buying over a wired lantern?
Yes if you want light where there is no outlet and can accept sun-dependent brightness. A wired lantern gives steadier output but needs installation.
How long does the battery last on a charge?
Expect a few hours of evening light after a full sunny day, less on dim-to-bright settings or overcast days. Integrated solar lanterns of this size typically run several hours at low brightness.
How big is it?
It is 7.4 inches tall and 5.35 inches wide and deep. That is small enough for a fence post cap or a patio table.
Does it need direct sunlight?
Yes, the solar panel needs direct sun to charge well. A shaded porch will shorten runtime.
Is it dimmable with a remote or app?
The listing describes integrated dimming but does not name a remote or app. Plan on adjusting it at the fixture unless the store page says otherwise.
When is it cheapest?
Solar lanterns usually drop in late summer and around Black Friday. Check the price history on this page before buying.
