Our take on the Sugift 2.25HP 2 in 1 Folding Treadmill with App Speaker Remote Control

The Sugift 2.25HP 2-in-1 Folding Treadmill is a compact walking-and-jogging machine that works flat under a standing desk or with its handlebar raised for runs up to 7.5 mph. A quiet 2.25HP brushless motor, Bluetooth app tracking, a built-in speaker and a remote control cover the basics, and the deck folds vertically onto transport wheels for tight storage. It is a budget-class walking pad rather than a full gym treadmill, and its price sits in the low end of the folding-treadmill range.

Best forDesk workers who want to walk while they typeSmall apartments and rooms with little floor spaceLight joggers and casual walkers, not serious runnersBuyers who want app tracking and a speaker without paying premium prices
Pros
  • 2-in-1 design switches from under-desk walking to handlebar jogging in seconds
  • Quiet 2.25HP brushless motor suits shared rooms and calls
  • Bluetooth app logs distance, time, calories and workout history
  • Built-in speaker streams music or audiobooks from a phone
  • Folds vertically with transport wheels for closets or behind doors
  • Remote control adjusts speed without reaching for the console
Cons
  • 7.5 mph top speed is too slow for fast or interval running
  • No incline, so it cannot simulate hills
  • Short deck and low handlebar feel cramped for taller or longer-strided users
  • Speaker and app are basic compared with premium treadmills
  • Build is light-duty; long daily runs may wear it faster

Questions and answers

Is it worth it compared with a full treadmill?
For walking under a desk or light jogging in a small space, yes. If you plan to run fast or train for races, a full-size treadmill with incline is a better buy.
Can I really run on it at 7.5 mph?
The motor supports up to 7.5 mph, but the short deck and light frame make that a stretch for most people. Treat it as a brisk jogging ceiling, not a running pace.
Does it fit under a standing desk?
Yes, the deck lies flat and is designed to slide under a standing desk for walking mode. Check your desk's height and clearance before buying.
How does the app connect?
It pairs over Bluetooth and logs distance, time, calories and workout history. The same connection feeds the built-in speaker for phone audio.
What is in the box?
The treadmill, a remote control and the hardware needed for assembly. A phone is required for app tracking and speaker streaming.
When is it cheapest?
Folding treadmills like this see the deepest discounts around Black Friday, New Year fitness sales and back-to-school events. Watch the price history rather than buying at list.
