Our take on the Tarps Plus Clear Poly Tarp 10' x 10' Case of 10

The Tarps Plus Clear Poly Tarp 10' x 10' is a case of ten transparent polyethylene tarps, each 12 mils thick with a 1200-denier weave and a 14x14 mesh count. The clear material lets light through, which suits covering plants, windows, or equipment where you still want visibility. It is sold as a bulk case of ten, so the per-tarp cost is the main draw for anyone who needs several covers. No current price was available for this listing, so check the latest price against its recent range before ordering.

Pros
  • Clear film transmits light, unlike opaque blue or green tarps
  • 12 mil thickness and 1200-denier weave are heavier than thin utility tarps
  • 14x14 mesh count gives a tight, reinforced weave
  • Case of ten lowers the per-tarp cost for repeat users
  • 10' x 10' size is easy to handle and fold
Cons
  • Clear polyethylene degrades faster in sustained UV than opaque tarps
  • No grommets or reinforced edges are listed, so tie-down options may be limited
  • Ten tarps is more than a single household usually needs
  • Transparent film shows dirt and creases quickly
  • Not breathable, so condensation can build under it

Questions and answers

Is this tarp really clear?
Yes. It is made of transparent polyethylene, so light passes through and you can see what is underneath. It is not optical-grade clear; expect a slight haze.
How thick is each tarp?
Each tarp is 12 mils thick with a 1200-denier weave and a 14x14 mesh count. That is heavier than common 5 to 8 mil utility tarps.
Does it come with grommets?
The listed specs do not mention grommets or reinforced edges. Plan on clips, battens, or weights to secure it unless the packaging states otherwise.
Can I use it over plants in cold weather?
Yes, it works as a light-transmitting frost cover. Leave gaps for airflow, because the film does not breathe and traps condensation.
How long will it last outdoors?
Clear polyethylene is less UV-stable than opaque tarps, so expect a shorter outdoor life. Store it out of the sun when not in use to extend it.
Is the case of ten worth it?
Only if you need several tarps. Compare the case price per tarp against buying singles; the bulk case usually wins on cost per piece.
What do buyers say about the Tarps Plus Clear Poly Tarp 10' x 10' Case of 10?
Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 153 ratings.
