Best 65- to 75-inch 4K Google TVs

Top pick: TCL QM7K (75-inch) — QD-Mini LED gives it the brightest highlights and deepest blacks of this group, and it's the best-rated set here, so it suits a bright living room and movie nights. The 65-inch QM7K is the same TV in a smaller size.

Who the others suit:

• Sony BRAVIA 7 (65") — best motion and upscaling, for sports and older cable content; you pay for it.
• Sharp AQUOS XLED (65") — a big step up in picture for far less than the Sonys.
• Sony BRAVIA 3 (65") — simple, reliable everyday set.
• TCL QM6K / Q Class — budget picks; fine for a bedroom or spare room.
• onn 65" QLED — cheapest way in, but weaker ratings.
• TCL A300L — if you want a TV that looks like art on the wall.

Skip the 55-inch Panasonic and the 85-inch Sony: wrong size for you.
