Best 80-inch and larger OLED TVs under $1,500

The honest answer first: there's no OLED at 80 inches or larger in this price range. OLED panels that big start well above it, so every 80"+ set that fits the budget is LCD-based (QLED, Mini LED or plain 4K). If OLED picture quality is the real goal, the largest OLEDs here are 77 inches and under — worth a look instead.

If size wins, here's how the big screens sort out:

• VIZIO Quantum 85" (VQD85R-10) — my pick: quantum-dot colour and Dolby Vision at the lowest cost, best value for a bright, big living room.
• Samsung U8000H 85" — for Samsung's Tizen smart system and Vision AI processing; a solid all-rounder.
• LG QNED84B 85" Mini LED — the step up for contrast and brightness, and the closest thing here to OLED-like punch.
• onn 85" (VIZIO-made) — the budget route if you just want the biggest screen for the least.

All are 60Hz-class panels, so none is a gaming-first set.
