Questions and answers
- When does Bethesda discount its games?
- Bethesda's biggest cuts land during Steam's seasonal sales, usually in late June, late November and around the winter holidays. QuakeCon in August also brings publisher promotions, and Doom and Elder Scrolls titles often drop 50% to 75% off once they are a few years old.
- Where is the cheapest place to buy Bethesda PC games?
- Official Steam and Microsoft Store sales set the reference price, but authorized key resellers such as Fanatical and Green Man Gaming often undercut them. Check the price history on this page before buying, since third-party marketplace keys can be cheaper but carry activation and region risks.
- Which Bethesda games are worth buying first?
- Doom Eternal is the strongest single-player pick for its fast combat and two expansions, The Ancient Gods Parts 1 and 2. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas remain the most-played back-catalog titles. Doom: The Dark Ages, released in 2025, is the newest entry and still sells near full price.
- What does the Doom Eternal Deluxe Edition include?
- It bundles the base game with the Year One Pass, which covers The Ancient Gods Part 1 and Part 2, plus the Rip and Tear Pack with extra skins and a master level. Buy it only if you plan to play the expansions; the standard edition is cheaper otherwise.
- Can I return a Bethesda game bought on Steam?
- Steam refunds apply to games played under two hours and owned for fewer than 14 days, and that covers Bethesda titles bought there. Microsoft Store purchases follow its own refund policy, and key resellers usually do not offer refunds once a key is revealed.
