Electra products: prices and price history
Questions and answers
- When does Electra run sales?
- Electra discounts cluster around end-of-season clearance in late summer and fall, plus Black Friday and Trek's spring promotions. Deals on older Townie and Cruiser models are the most common. The two live listings here are at bicycleway.com, not Electra's own site.
- Where is the cheapest place to buy an Electra bike?
- Compare across Electra's own site, Trek dealers, and retailers like bicycleway.com, since pricing varies by seller and model year. Right now the Townie Go! 7D Step Thru E-Bike is $500.00 at bicycleway.com as of November 3, a 71% saving. Check the price history before buying to see whether that is a real low.
- What are Electra's best-known products?
- The Townie is the signature model, with its flat-foot frame geometry and step-through and step-over versions. The Cruiser 1 is the simpler single-speed cruiser, and the Go! MIPS Helmet is the brand's commuter helmet with MIPS rotational protection. The Townie Go! 7D is the electric Townie, built around a Bosch or similar mid-drive depending on model year.
- What is Electra's return policy?
- Electra follows Trek's policy for bikes bought directly: returns are generally accepted within 30 days in original condition, and e-bikes may carry different rules. Purchases from a retailer like bicycleway.com are governed by that store's return policy, so confirm it before ordering. Shipping a bike back is costly, so check the frame size first.
