Grodan Sale Tracker, November 2026

Questions and answers

When does Grodan go on sale?

Grodan discounts cluster in late winter and early spring, ahead of the propagation and transplant season, and again in late summer when growers restock for fall crops. Hydroponics retailers also mark down slabs and blocks during their own seasonal promotions.

Where is Grodan cheapest?

Specialist hydroponics shops usually undercut general garden centers on Grodan blocks and slabs, especially when you buy a full case. Shipping weight matters: stone wool is bulky, so a local pickup price can beat a lower sticker price with freight added.

What are Grodan's best products?

The 1.5-inch and 4-inch Rockwool cubes are the standard for starting seeds and cuttings. Expert slabs suit drain-to-waste and drip setups, while Master slabs give more root volume for long tomato crops. Gro-Blocks are the pick when you want a pre-formed block without wrapping.

Does Grodan accept returns?

Returns are handled by the store you buy from, not by Grodan, so check that store's policy before ordering. Unopened, dry stone wool is commonly accepted; opened or wet slabs usually are not.

Do I need to treat Grodan stone wool before planting?

Yes. Grodan cubes and slabs are made with a binder and arrive at a high pH, so soak them in nutrient solution adjusted to about pH 5.5 before planting. The water-repellent binder also means the first soak takes time; let the media wick fully.

Are there Grodan discount codes?

Deal.ai doesn't list Grodan discount codes. It checks what Grodan products actually cost at every store, so a real markdown shows on this page as a deal as soon as it starts, and each product's page has its price history to tell a sale from its usual price.
