- When does Youdao run sales?
- Youdao discounts cluster around China's Singles' Day in November, 618 in June, and back-to-school in August. New model launches often push older Dictionary Pen versions down in price.
- Where is Youdao cheapest?
- It varies by model and by whether you buy the Chinese or global version. Chinese-market listings on AliExpress and JD.com are often lower, but the global version includes more offline languages and English support. Check the price history on each listing before buying.
- What are Youdao's best products?
- The Dictionary Pen is the flagship: it scans printed text and returns translations and definitions offline. The Pocket Translator suits travel, and the Listening Pod is built for language learners practicing audio.
- Does the Youdao Dictionary Pen work without a connection?
- Yes. The pen scans and translates offline for its built-in languages, and connects over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for extra features. Check the specific model's language list, since offline coverage differs between the Chinese and global versions.
- What is Youdao's return policy?
- Returns depend on the seller, not Youdao itself. Official Youdao stores and major marketplaces each set their own window, typically 7 to 15 days, and opened software or activated devices may be excluded. Confirm the terms on the listing before ordering.
- Are there Youdao discount codes?
- Deal.ai doesn't list Youdao discount codes. It checks what Youdao products actually cost at every store, so a real markdown shows on this page as a deal as soon as it starts, and each product's page has its price history to tell a sale from its usual price.
