Which is better for a small apartment?

The M1 ships compressed in 2–4 boxes that fit through narrow stairs and elevators, which helps in tight buildings. The Neche is 83 inches wide and arrives as one piece, so check your doorway and stair turn before ordering.

Is the M1 worth the extra $707?

If you want spill-proof fabric, deeper seats, modular layout and a 4.6 rating, yes. If you mainly need three seats at the lowest price, the Neche at $239.99 covers that for far less.

Which is better for families with kids?

The M1. Its performance weave is spill-resistant and OEKO-TEX certified, and the covers are easier to clean than teddy fleece. The Neche's fleece will stain more readily.

The M1 has the stronger durability claims: BIFMA certification and 100,000+ impact cycles. The Neche uses a hardwood frame, but buyers report sturdiness ranging from solid to flimsy.

Which is more comfortable for lounging or sleeping?

The M1, with 25.1-inch seat depth and firm SmartFoam™ that buyers say suits lounging and sleeping. The Neche's 22-inch seats and 19-inch back are shallower, and buyers add pillows for back support.

Do either need tools to assemble?

Neither needs tools. The M1 zips its modules together with YKK zippers, while the Neche assembles without tools but buyers report unclear labeling.
