Which is better for gaming?

The Alienware Aurora 16. Its 120Hz 2560 x 1600 display and Core 7-240H give smoother, sharper play than the Omen's 60Hz 1920 x 1200 screen, even though both use the RTX 5050.

Is the Alienware worth about $200 more?

If you game often, yes. The higher refresh rate and resolution are the main gains. If you mostly browse and work, the Omen at $900.00 saves money for the same GPU.

Do they have the same graphics card?

Yes. Both list the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050, so raw GPU performance should be close. The Alienware's screen and CPU are what separate them.

Which is easier to carry?

The Omen lists 5.3 lb, which is realistic for a 15.3-inch gaming laptop. The Alienware's 0.8 lb listing is not credible for a 16-inch machine, so expect it to weigh several pounds.

Which has better battery life?

Alienware buyers report several hours between charges, but gaming laptops drain fast under load. Expect both to need a charger for long gaming sessions.

Is the Alienware price stable?

No. It ranged from $989.00 on November 4 to $1,659.99 on November 2, 2026. Check the current price before buying.
