Questions and answers
- Which has better noise cancelling?
- The Soundcore Life Q20. It uses hybrid ANC with 4 microphones, which usually cancels more low-frequency noise than the RCA Wave-53's basic active ANC.
- How much longer does the Soundcore battery last?
- About five times longer. Anker rates the Q20 at up to 60 hours in standard music mode; RCA rates the Wave-53 at 12 hours.
- Can I use the RCA Wave-53 wired?
- No. Its specs list no wired connection ports, so it is wireless only. The Q20's specs also do not confirm a wired port, so check before relying on one.
- Which is better for travel?
- The Soundcore Life Q20. Longer battery, hybrid ANC, and a 5-minute charge for 4 hours suit long trips better than 12 hours of playtime.
- Is the RCA Wave-53 worth it over the Soundcore?
- Only if you want Bluetooth 5.3, on-ear controls, and a white finish and do not need long battery life. Otherwise the Q20 offers more for the money at similar prices.
- Which is better for calls?
- The Soundcore Life Q20. It has 4 beam-forming microphones. The RCA lists an integrated mic with voice assistant support but no mic array details.
