Apple iPhone 17 Pro
Reception is limited so far, with a single 5-out-of-5 rating on record. Early buyer feedback highlights smooth delivery and setup rather than long-term use.

- Too few owner reviews to judge long-term reliability
- Price seen as high for a phone without a bundled charger
Questions and answers
- Which has the better battery life?
- The iPhone 18 Pro Max. Apple rates it at up to 45 hours of video playback and 30 hours of typical use. The 17 Pro is described as having breakthrough battery life but no figure is given.
- Is the 18 Pro Max worth about $723 more?
- Only if you want the 6.9-inch 120Hz screen, the A20 Pro chip, and the longest battery life. If a 6.3-inch screen is fine, the 17 Pro at $825.59 at Walmart covers the same basics for much less.
- Which is easier to carry?
- The iPhone 17 Pro. Its 6.3-inch aluminum body is lighter than the 18 Pro Max at 249 g (8.78 oz).
- Do both support physical SIM cards?
- No. The 18 Pro Max is eSIM only with single SIM support. The 17 Pro takes a nano SIM and eSIM, with dual SIM support.
- Which has the better camera?
- The 18 Pro Max on paper: three 48MP cameras, variable aperture, and up to 8x optical-quality zoom. The 17 Pro also uses 48MP cameras on all rear lenses but lacks the variable aperture.
- Which lasts longer?
- The 18 Pro Max should, with the newer A20 Pro chip, 12 GB RAM, and a larger body for battery. The 17 Pro remains capable but has an older chip and 8 GB RAM on base storage.
