Which is better for a goalie?

The Bauer Vapor Hyperlite 2. It is a goalie stick with a 26-inch short shaft and a P31 curve. The Warrior Alpha LX2 Pro is a 63-inch skater stick.

Which has the faster release?

Both target quick release. The Bauer uses a Hyperlow-kick design, and the Warrior uses a low hybrid kick point. The Bauer's HyperCore blade adds 10% more recoil.

Is the Bauer worth the extra money?

Only if you are a goalie. At its $175.00 low on October 29, 2026 it is reasonable for elite gear, but it climbed to $575.00 on November 4, 2026. No Warrior price was given to compare.

Hard to say without wear data. The Warrior's thermoplastic-toughened epoxy and Minimus Carbon 25 are built for durability. Goalie sticks like the Bauer take more paddle abuse.

Can a skater use the Bauer?

No. At 26 inches and 65 flex it is sized for goalies. Skaters should look at the Warrior at 63 inches and 75 flex.

Which flex should I pick?

The Bauer comes only in 65 flex, suited to goalies. The Warrior's 75 flex fits stronger senior skaters. Lighter players may find 75 too stiff.
