Questions and answers
- Which is better for a heavy sleeper or a heavy mattress?
- The Big Fig. Its 1,250 lb capacity is well above the Baselogic's 750 lb, and it uses two motors to move the load.
- Is the Big Fig worth about $800 more?
- Only if you need the higher capacity, memory presets and quieter dual motors. For basic head and foot raising, the Baselogic Bronze does the job at $299.00 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026.
- Which one is easier to set up and move?
- The Baselogic Bronze. It folds and has a zero-clearance profile. The Big Fig arrives in two heavy boxes and takes about 30 minutes to assemble, and buyers say it helps to have a second person.
- Does either base have a sleep trial or returns?
- The Big Fig page says it is not eligible for returns or the 120-night sleep trial. The Baselogic listing does not state a return policy, so check the store before buying.
- Which has the better warranty?
- The Baselogic Bronze lists a 10-year limited warranty. The Big Fig page does not state a warranty length.
- Can I use either base inside an existing bed frame?
- The Baselogic Bronze is built for that with its zero-clearance design and three leg heights. The Big Fig is a standalone base; check clearance before putting it in a frame.
